Oportunidades

En la ultima clase de produccion de software vimos como tema lo que es realizar la comercializacion de un producto de Software, pero quien dicto esta clase no fue el profesor, sino Leon Mozkovitz, quien es uno de los gerentes de mercadeo del conglomerado de empresas de software mas grande de Colombia, Parquesoft. Me parecio una clase que ademas de muy interesante, muestra la tendencia que tiene la EAN que es la de buscar a los duros en cada tematica para dictar clases.
Tener a expertos de esta talla por lo general es algo que solo se tiene en un foro o en una conferencia, no en una simple clase en la cual se tiene a la persona alli para poder hacerle las preguntas que uno desee. Esto es sin lugar a dudas una leccion de lo que puede hacer muchas otras universidades para acercar mas la realidad a la academia.

Por otro lado, me ha parecido interesantisimo el tema de parquesoft desde que tuve la oportunidad de conocerlo por primera vez. Leon en la charla se dio cuenta de mi interes y me dio una invitacion a la inauguracion de su nuevo edificio de Parquesoft. Me parece que es una oportunidad excelente que toca ver como se puede aprovechar ya que es la posibilidad de ver de cerca un esfuerzo por hacer software en grande en Colombia. Entonces es muy probable que me pegue la rodadita por Cali en la proxima semana. Ademas esto puede ser una oportunidad para que AIESEC Cali busque una alianza con ellos para poder hacer una red de aprendizaje y quien sabe, hasta un PBoX.

Concerned

Yesterday AIESEC EAN had it's election process and I'm a bit concerned about the outcome of this election process. Due to the MC negligence (that's just my point of view) that there had to be some election process running and the fact that not all candidates were able to send their applications du to the fact of a confusion with the elections email and procedure we had an election process with only one candidate per Vicepresidency and we had only four charges being applied to. The Director, the Financial VP, the X VP and the Information systems VP.

I think part of this reason is because the LC is young and is still looking out for its identity, but shouldn't the MC help the LC find this instead of making things a lot more difficult? I just tend to think that the MC has forgotten this years moto, Isn't it People over Strategy? Well to me it seems that they've forgotten that it's necessary for people to be there, furthermore, to have highly motivated people to perform this strategy.

Well, going back to the election process the different VPs who were involved doesn't seem to be fully aware of the responsabilities that are involved in their position. Maybe except Zulma becuase she has been already involved in the charge of being a President, but she isn't fully aware that the President position is mostly strategy. In case of the VPs that were elected, there's the fact that they aren't looking towards a strategy, they'r only thinking in the tasks that have to be done.

Nevertheless I expect this new year the best for the EAN, and I'm willing to give the best of myself. For instance I'm planning to create a new area focused basically in the growth of the LC, but that will be for a next post to come.

Cosas de buseta

Definitvamente los Blogs son una cosa muy interesante, uno se puede enterar de cosas de toda la gente que conoce, en que andan en el mundo, que piensan, etc.

Bueno, estaba viendo el Blog de Ricky Peñatez y comentaba las cosas que suceden en un bus que dan piedra. En un bus en Colombia uno puede encontrar toda clase de cosas, vendedores que te ofrecen desde mani hasta cadenas, musicos que llegan a cantar por unas monedas. Incluso una vez tuve todo un grupo de musica llanera con arpa y todo, e incluso un señor con un organo completo (no organeta, organo, con su mueble y lo demas) se subio a darnos una tonada.
Pero algo que definitivamente es muy molesto que se suba al bus es cuando se suben unos niños pintados de payaso y comienzan a hacer un acto en el cual uno dice una cosa y el otro mas o menos la repite pero diciendo mal las palabras. Lo unico que hacen es insultar a diestra y siniestra desde el conductor hasta a los pasajeros y despues se atreven a pedirle plata a uno (bueno, al fin y al cabo para eso se suben). Lo mas increible de todo esto es que muchas veces los conductores le impiden el paso a estas personas, pero nunca he visto una sola de estas parejas de muchachos que un conductor les pida que se bajen. Porque sera?

Por fin soy miembro de nuevo de las comunidades. Ahora ya tengo todas las herramientas para desarrollar mi plan, JeJeJeJe.....

Bueno, pues todo parece que no me dejaran aplicar para VP de AIESEC EAN. Todo porque como estoy como Alumni, no tengo acceso al sistema de informacion y por ende no pude ver las cosas que publicaban y decian de las aplicaciones. Entregue mi aplicacion unos dias tarde, pero fui capaz de entregarla gracias a la ayuda de Ximena que me dio los documentos para llenar.

Lastima porque me parecia algo interesante. Pero por el otro lado tengo un plan mucho mejor. La gran falla de Aiesec EAN es que no planea y que esta haciendo las cosas para el presente sin pensar en el futuro. Entonces que mejor que crear un area que piense en el futuro y les ayude a dar un pasito mas a las demas areas?

Back to the world of AIESEC

After some time missing from the AIESEC Spot, here I'm back, and with more desire and knowledge to do things than ever. I'm currently applying for the LCVP X charge in AIESEC EAN, and I'm willing to make this LC grow bigger than the other expected. On the first hand my plan is to put them in good shape regarding planning and accountability issues. Later on, I'm planning to make a study regarding the best LCs in the X issue in Colombia, so we can have their strengths and put them into the LC service. All this stuff must be accompanied by a total quality program that will give our stakeholders more than they want.
